Specific Skills:

My work as a video producer places me in charge of a team of top-level video professionals; I negotiate contracts, manage my crew and make technical decisions for the team. I also have expertise at each step of the video creation process from shooting to editing and post production. I have experience in web site development, in particular as it applies to video technologies. Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
I am proficient in a wide range of professional level video and web building tools. These include Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Adobe Media Encoder, Encore, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver. Knowledge of typical business software such as Word and Excel.

Experience

I have over 14 years of experience in event videography, video production, post production, corporate video and documentary filmmaking. I was the director of photography for the Seattle Channel on their cultural affairs program titled “The American Avant Garde.” Corporate video work includes videos for Spacelabs Healthcare, a major international healthcare hardware manufacturer. Art department work on two feature films. For Orca Creative, I documented their British Columbia/Canada House project at the Beijing Olympics. Also at Orca I created presentation videos for Walmart, Lexus, Starbucks as well as other major corporations. I am creating a documentary on Fishtown, an artists’ community in the Skagit Valley.

Orca was a tradeshow exhibit company producing properties for events world-wide. I managed video production teams, edited content and prepared video for distribution via streaming and other export formats. I also was responsible for their online web presence.
Orca has been responsible for trade show events internationally. I managed video production teams, edited content and prepared video for distribution via DVD, streaming and other export formats. I created presentation videos for Walmart, Lexus, Starbucks, as well as other major corporations. I documented Orca’s British Columbia/Canada House project at the Beijing Olympics. Another project was creating a video for Orca’s work for the Canadian Department of Transportation at the International Congress of Roads in Mexico City. Owner / Criterion Video Production.

Contract video and website work. Responsible for all aspects of design and production of client web sites, including graphics, content and HTML. Work extensively with clients to identify and qualify design concepts, message, and desired image to project; develop and edit site content. Create and present alternative design prototypes; collaborate with the client in selecting and refining product. Outline the details of specific projects and set production timetables. Handle all elements in complete site development, including writing content, designing graphics.

Lead-Graphics and Content Team / Food.Com.

Food.Com was a very large nation-wide meal ordering web site. My team was responsible for preparing graphics and content relating to individual restaurants.

Vice President for Technology / Boatparts.com

I managed development of what was at the time the largest e-commerce site for recreational marine engine parts. In charge of loading product information and images for thousands of items to site. Acting largely on my own initiative, I met with prospective vendors; directed work on site by others, including graphics team, data extractor and database programmers; prepared reports to owners; developed an efficient method of extracting table data from files and converting into HTML application charts with links to individual items.

Avocational Interests:

Classic boats. Have served as President and member of board of directors of both .the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society and the Center for Wooden Boats, a traditional wooden boat museum in Seattle. Co-founder of the Center for Wooden Boats.
